Hellos and Goodbyes
The Tues 5:00, 5:45 and 6:45 ballet dancers welcome two new ballet teachers – Holly Kepins and Michelle Ramos. Unfortunately, Dallas’ full-time job was terminated here in Indiana due to state budget cuts, so she needed to move back home. Thanks to friend and former student, Maria Caruso, founder and director of Bodiography Contemporary Ballet (BCB) located in Pittsburgh PA, we are lucky to include Holly and Michelle into our teaching staff. Michelle earned her MFA from NYU and recently moved to Pittsburgh to become involved with BCB. Holly is a senior dance major at La Roche College and a BCB apprentice. It will be a sad night in Hip-Hop tonight L Tracee is moving to Texas. Her job was transferred to Houston. Needless to say, Tracee’s energy, excitement, creativity and concern for the dancers will certainly be missed by all of us. Of course we wish her the best in her new position and new location.

Hello to Megan Filler! Megan is a former SHDS dancer who has come back to the area after earning her BS in Elementary Education from IUP and a masters degree in literacy with a reading specialist. Currently the 8th grade reading teacher in the Marion Center school district, Meg will be replacing Tracee as the hip-hop teacher. She has substituted a few times and fits right in to the SHDS family! Tracee feels good leaving the dancers with Megan.
